Rare Bristol reggae beats reissued. Restriction’s Action (whose primary member was Rob Smith of Smith & Mighty / RSD fame) was originally recorded in 1984 and was the band’s sole release. Unable to obtain a record deal, the diverse group of musicians actually self-funded this record (which is why such low number of original copies exist) and teamed up with a young engineer by the name of Mad Professor to handle the mix. Action is reissued here for the first time in 30 years by Bristol Archive Records, who have saved this remarkable release from fading into reggae obscurity.
