Sophomore effort from Jack Latham aka Jam City on Night Slugs. Dream A Garden is a departure from the sounds of 2012’s critically acclaimed debut Classical Curves. Here the UK producer shifts to much more meditative and seemingly deeper aesthetics in lieu of the harsher techno and grime influence of his past work. It is a welcome and refreshing change of pace, and to be honest, nothing else is sounding like this at the moment. Check the warm and hazy detuned synths, ambient atmospheres, and bright guitars on “The Garden Thrives,” “A Walk Down The Chapel,” “Unhappy,” “Good Lads, Bad Lads” and “Damage.” Recommended.
